Kas International Film Festival

Since 2022, the Kaş Culture and Arts Association has aimed to establish Kaş as a city of culture and arts by bringing together thousands of cinema lovers and hundreds of filmmakers under the stars at the 2,000-year-old Antiphellos Ancient Theatre every June. The Kaş International Film Festival aspires to be an inspiring cultural event on an international level—reflecting the creative and transformative power of independent cinema—set in the unique geography of the Mediterranean, where history and contemporary art meet. The festival not only showcases films but also brings together ideas, people, and disciplines to create new connections and possibilities.

By creating a signature event for Kaş, which has become a hotspot for cultural destination tourism, the festival aims to contribute to the preservation of the town’s culture, history, and natural heritage. While providing a platform for high-quality independent productions, the festival aspires to create an inspiring atmosphere that engages all five senses and establishes a strong connection with its unique surroundings. It positions itself as an event that protects Kaş’s natural, historical, and cultural legacy, strengthens the town’s identity, and helps establish it as a key destination for cultural tourism.
